I’ve been in the market since I was 14, and my career in investing has taken many turns. Each challenge along the way offered insights I now leverage in the market.
A common thread throughout my journey has been identifying untapped potential and capitalizing on asymmetry to create value. Early in my professional life, I worked multiple jobs to put myself through college while renovating a real estate “fixer-upper” after the 2008 crash—believing the housing market would recover. It did.
I earned a B.S. in Psychology from Boise State University, followed by an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling and Diagnosis (summa cum laude) from Capella University. Surprisingly, the stock market and psychology intersect more than most realize. Just as counseling relies on a solid theoretical framework, successful investing requires a disciplined, personalized system. These tools helped me refine my ability to understand the “why” behind market trends—and turn strong thesis into profits.
By 2023, what started as a side hustle in stocks and real estate became my full-time career. I also began to realize how my counseling background could help others. Counseling isn’t about solving people’s intrapersonal problems, it’s about giving them tools to think constructively so they can solve their own challenges when they’re ready. The same principle applies to investing.
That’s why I launched Steadfast Research LLC in 2025—to share the research, insights, and thought processes I use in the markets. After many conversations with people who asked if I managed money or could share my process, I saw a real need: individuals capable of investing on their own, but who needed fresh ways to think about the market.
Steadfast Market Research was created to share a window into my personal market research and investing approach, with the hope of inspiring you to develop your own investing and research system that fits your goals and style. I aim to make complex market research ideas clear and accessible by writing from a technical foundation built on years of research experience.
