Honestly, I’ve been in the market since I was 14. My career in investing took several turns before I decided to pursue investing and trading full-time. However, I can look back and see how each challenge along the way provided insight that I now leverage in the market. 

A common theme for me has always been to look for untapped potential and capitalize on asymmetry to create value. In my early professional career, I worked multiple jobs to get through college while also working on a real estate “fixer upper” following the market crash in 2008. My thesis at the time was that the real estate market would eventually recover. It did. 

I followed through with my education, graduating with a B.S. in Psychology from Boise State University, and then graduating with a clinical degree summa cum laude with a M.S. in Mental Health Counseling and Diagnosis from Capella University.  Surprisingly, there is a lot to be learned about the stock market when viewed from a lens of human behavior and emotion. As counseling requires a good theoretical approach from which to practice, so successful investing requires a systemized approach that works for you. With these tools, I’ve continued to hone my skill of looking for the “why” behind market trends, and turning a thesis into a profit.  

In 2023, what began as a side-hustle investing in stocks and real estate, became my primary career focus. I quickly realized that I could also use what I had learned from counseling to empower others. Counseling isn’t about solving other people’s intrapersonal problems, its about providing people with tools and new ways to  construcktivley think, so that when they are ready and motivated to change, the will have the ability to solve their own problems with long term success.  The same goes with investing and is the premise of why I started Steadfast Research. After having a number of conversations with people who asked if I managed money or if they could hear about my investing process/knowledge in exchange for lunch, I realized there was a real need of people in the community who were perfectly capable of investing their own money, but that just needed some new ways to think about the markets to hopefully have some success.  Steadfast Research allows me to share my opinions and thoughts on the markets.

So, I started the Steadfast Research LLC in 2025 that you might come get a glimpse into the opinions, thoughts and research that I find interesting in the market. I hope that these viewpoints help you feel motivated to develop your own investing process, one that works for your personality and lifestyle in the long run.  

I write from a technical background using years of research paper experience, with a knack for communicating complicated topics. With extensive research experience and many years of reviewing stock analysis and market trends,  I hope I can communicate the insightful research and strategies for investors at all levels.
